Full Circle

Full Circle

Full Circle…life has a way of taking us full circle, don’t you think?

My life (Charlotte) has definitely come full circle in so many ways. Today, I’m going to share one way Christie and I have both come full circle.

Who is this handsome gentleman posing with his squirrel hunting spoils? This is our grandaddy! And that truck you see in the background? Well, read on for more on that…

When I had the idea of Pine Apple Mercantile Company (and the name just immediately popped in my head), I had no idea that it was not the first Pine Apple Mercantile Company. When I was telling my mother about it, she said, “oh, yes, we shopped at Pine Apple Mercantile Company when I was growing up!” Then a few weeks ago she tells me that not only did they shop there, but grandaddy hauled feed/corn for them as a side job. That truck in the background…that is the one he used when he hauled for the Hale Brothers who owned Pine Apple Mercantile. And who are the Hale Brothers? None other than my neighbor Joyce’s uncles.

So you see, we are getting back to our roots. We are indeed coming full circle in more ways than one. We will share more on that later.

In the meantime, I want to encourage you to take a minute to ask your parents and grandparents about their life growing up, life as a young adult, etc. If you are privileged to still have them in your life, stop and take a minute to give them a call, visit, send a card, text, etc. They would love to hear from you!

Wisdom abounds in the older generation. Take advantage of it while you can. Unfortunately, we don’t realize it until we are older.

And all you “older” ones like us know exactly what I mean.
