Alabama Vitrified Pineapple Clay Holy Family
This Holy Family is more than a nativity — it’s a piece of Alabama craftsmanship. Each figure of Joseph, Mary, and baby Jesus, is formed by hand from locally sourced pineapple clay, then vitrified in a high-temperature kiln until the clay becomes glass-like. That process not only gives the pieces their soft sheen but also makes them incredibly durable — meant to last for generations.
Standing 9 inches in height, every set is shaped and glazed individually, no two are ever exactly alike. You’ll notice small variations in color and texture that speak to the hands that made them — the mark of true artisanship. The simplicity of the design reflects the humble beauty of that first Christmas night — pure, peaceful, and full of quiet reverence.
These are made in limited batches, so once this firing is gone, we won’t have more until next season. Whether you display them year-round or bring them out at Christmastime, they bring a sense of calm and holiness wherever they’re placed.
