Monica’s artistic journey began in 2023 after the passing of her father, a Louisiana native who spent decades enjoying his Pine Apple, Alabama hunting camp with family. After his passing, Monica discovered piles of oyster shells left behind on his old fish-cleaning station—reminders of laughter, storytelling, and shared meals. Inspired by those memories, she began transforming the shells into works of art.
Now living in Camden, Alabama, Monica continues to create each piece with care, carrying forward a legacy of remembrance, family, and Southern creativity.
